Cookie
Policy.
What fireweb.ie stores on your device, why it is used, and how to change your consent choices.
Strictly necessary technologies can operate without consent. Analytics and marketing categories stay disabled unless you actively enable them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data stored on or accessed from your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies can include local storage, pixels and other device identifiers. Some are essential to make a website work. Others are used for measurement, preferences or advertising.
2. Your choice
Non-essential cookies and tracking are not enabled unless you choose to allow them. The cookie banner offers equally available options to accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or manage categories individually.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings control on the website. FIREWEB asks you to confirm your consent again after no more than six months.
3. Cookies currently used by FIREWEB
| Name / type | Purpose | Category | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
fireweb_cookie_consent | Stores the cookie categories you accepted or rejected so the site can remember your choice. | Strictly necessary | Up to 6 months |
| WordPress authentication / settings cookies | Used for logged-in administrators and authorised site users for session, security and interface settings. These are not normally set for ordinary public visitors. | Strictly necessary | Session or limited persistent period depending on login/settings |
The custom FIREWEB enquiry form does not require a tracking cookie. Anti-spam and rate-limiting checks are performed server-side.
4. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary
These are required for website security, consent storage, core functionality or services you explicitly request. They cannot be switched off through the consent banner where doing so would prevent the requested service from functioning.
Analytics
Analytics tools help measure visits and understand how the website is used. FIREWEB will only enable analytics cookies or equivalent non-essential tracking after consent.
Marketing
Marketing or advertising technologies may be used in the future to measure campaigns or support advertising. These remain disabled unless you explicitly consent.
5. Third-party content and services
Some pages may request content from third-party infrastructure, such as remote portfolio previews or other embedded resources. Even where no cookie is set, the third party may receive technical request data such as IP address, browser information and the requested URL.
Where a third-party service uses non-essential cookies or tracking, FIREWEB will configure it to wait for the relevant consent category where technically possible.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when the website starts using a new cookie, analytics product, advertising technology or material third-party service. The table above should reflect the technologies actually in use, rather than a generic list.
7. Questions
If you have a question about cookies or consent on fireweb.ie, email info@fireweb.ie.
