Statement.
How FIREWEB approaches accessibility, the standard we aim toward, and how to report an accessibility problem.
FIREWEB aims to align the website with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim formal full conformance without a complete accessibility audit.
1. Our approach
FIREWEB wants fireweb.ie to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, zoom, voice input or other assistive technology.
Our accessibility target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is a target and design standard, not a claim that every page has been independently audited or fully conforms.
2. Measures we take
Accessibility considerations used across the site include:
- responsive layouts that adapt to smaller screens and zoom;
- semantic headings and descriptive links where practical;
- keyboard-operable navigation and interactive controls;
- visible focus states and reduced-motion support in custom interfaces;
- alternative text for meaningful images;
- colour contrast and typography chosen with readability in mind;
- forms with labels, required-field indicators and status messages.
3. Known limitations
Some third-party or externally generated content, including portfolio previews, may not be fully under FIREWEB's control. Older content or third-party embeds may also vary in accessibility. Where a limitation prevents access to information you need, contact us and we will provide the information in another reasonable format where possible.

If you experience an accessibility problem on fireweb.ie, please tell us what page you were using, what went wrong and, if relevant, which browser or assistive technology you were using.

We will review genuine accessibility reports and aim to address practical barriers as part of ongoing site maintenance.
5. Assessment
The site is reviewed using a combination of manual checks, responsive testing and automated tools. Automated testing alone cannot establish full WCAG conformance, so significant interface changes should also be checked manually, including keyboard use and focus behaviour.
6. Statement review
This statement was prepared for the current FIREWEB website and should be reviewed when the design system, navigation, forms or major third-party components change.
