The challenge
A mental health clinic needs a website that reads as clinically credible without feeling cold. The previous presence made it difficult for prospective clients to understand the services on offer or take a first step.
The brief was a site that carries clinical authority, explains the therapeutic services clearly, and makes the enquiry step feel low pressure.
The approach
Service architecture was mapped first: conditions, therapies, practitioners and locations were structured so each has a clear place and a clear next action.
Language and layout were kept calm and generous, with short paths from any page to booking an initial consultation.
Design
A restrained editorial layout with plenty of whitespace, high contrast typography and soft neutral tones. Photography is used sparingly so the content leads.
Accessibility was treated as a design requirement: contrast, focus states, readable measure and clear headings throughout.
Development
Built as a fast, responsive WordPress site with reusable content blocks so the clinic can add practitioners and services without design work.
Performance work covered image handling, font loading and script discipline to keep Core Web Vitals healthy on mobile networks.
Result
A clear, accessible clinical website with a defined service structure, technical SEO fundamentals in place and a content system the team can maintain in-house.
