These terms apply to design, development and related services provided by FIREWEB, an independent web design studio based in Cork, Ireland. Where an individual written proposal or quote says something different, that document takes precedence for that project.

Every project is quoted in writing before work begins, based on an agreed scope covering pages or templates, content types, functionality and integrations.

Accepting a quote in writing is taken as agreement to that scope and to these terms. Anything not described in the quote is treated as additional work and quoted separately.

Fees, any deposit and the payment schedule are those stated in the individual written proposal or quote for your project. Work normally begins once the agreed initial payment is received.

Recurring services such as hosting, domain management or website care are billed on the recurring basis set out in the relevant proposal.

Invoices are payable by the date shown on the invoice. If payment becomes significantly overdue we may pause work on the project, having first contacted you, and resume once the account is brought up to date.

To keep a project moving you agree to provide, in reasonable time:

• text content, imagery, logos and brand assets
• feedback and written approvals at each agreed stage
• access to any hosting, domain, email or third-party accounts required

You confirm that you own or are properly licensed to use any material you supply, and that its use does not infringe anyone else's rights.

Timelines given in a proposal are estimates that assume reasonable turnaround on content, feedback and approvals.

Where materials or approvals are delayed, the schedule shifts accordingly and we will agree revised dates with you.

Each stage includes the number of revision rounds set out in the proposal. Revisions are intended for refinement within the approved direction.

A substantial change of direction after approval, new pages, new features or new integrations are out of scope and quoted as additional work before being carried out.

Projects may use third-party platforms, plugins, themes, fonts, integrations, hosting and domain registrars. These remain subject to their own terms, licences and fees, which may change over time and are outside our control.

Where a licence or subscription is required for your website to keep functioning as designed, responsibility for maintaining it rests with you unless the proposal states that we manage it.

Websites are built and tested to work well on current versions of mainstream browsers and on common desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.

Small differences in rendering between browsers and devices are normal. Support for outdated or unsupported browsers, or for unusual configurations, can be quoted separately if required.

Where SEO work is included, it follows established good practice — technical structure, performance, content structure and relevant on-page optimisation.

Search engines control their own ranking systems. We cannot and do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic levels, enquiries, leads, sales or revenue.

On final payment, you own the delivered website design, page layouts, custom code produced specifically for the project and your own content.

Third-party components, fonts, imagery, plugins and platforms remain under their own licences. Reusable tools, techniques and internal know-how used across our projects remain ours.

Unless we agree in writing to treat the project as confidential or non-public, FIREWEB may show the work as a portfolio piece, including screenshots, a short description and a link to the live site.

Backups, updates and ongoing maintenance are provided only where a website care or hosting plan is in place. Without such a plan, keeping the site backed up and updated after handover is your responsibility.

We are not responsible for issues caused by changes made by you or by others after handover, or by third-party updates outside our control. Repairs in those situations are quoted as additional work.

Either side may end a project by written notice. Any notice periods, cancellation arrangements or refund positions are those set out in the agreed proposal.

In all cases, work completed and costs already incurred up to the point of termination remain payable, and recurring services can be cancelled in line with their billing cycle.

We take care to deliver work that is tested and functional, and we will put right defects in our own work that are reported within a reasonable period after launch.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits, lost data or lost business, or for outages and failures of third-party services, hosting, domains or integrations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

Neither side is responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as serious illness, infrastructure or hosting outages, cyber attacks, utility failures or other force majeure events. We will keep you informed and resume as soon as reasonably possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
